The Manchester based social games developer Playdemic was recently bought by the USA based RockYou. Founded in 2005, RockYou is one of the leading developers of social games and is also inventing in the space of advertising solutions for social media. In the future Playdemic will, according to RockYou, operate independently as a subsidiary studio and develop Facebook games for a mainstream audience.
